Those vain, self centered, arrogant, supercilious, selfish and somewhat misanthropic idiots that sit there on public transport calling everyone in their mobile phone book and then talk in a very loud voice... for 20 minutes.
A somewhat personal rant on the stupid things that go on in Hong Kong
One of the rudest most selfish people I have ever met
Just about everyday I have to travel on a mini bus to get to my local train station, it takes about 20 minutes and I use the time to plan my day and watch the world go by.. in other words, a bit of quiet time.
This all went to pot the other day when this (and I hesitate to use the term) lady sat down next to me and proceeded to make 7 or 8 phone calls in a very loud voice, she would make a call, yabber for a few minutes, end the call and immediately make another call and she had a voice that would make the Queen break out in hives.
It takes an awful lot to make me lose my cool but this lady really got on my nerves and I was feeling very sorry for the entire bus load of passengers who had no choice but to listen to her inane chatter... I gave her a death stare, no effect at all so I took this photo, this got her attention but she simply turned away and continued her conversation.... I then spent the rest of the journey dreaming of smelly socks and gaffer tape and possible uses.
The vast majority of Hong Konger's are very well mannered and very polite and seethe quietly so as to avoid confrontation, they would not have said anything to this lady even if she talked for an hour.
This lady.. well she needs a couple of lessons in social manners, I am now wondering where I can get an air horn and if I have the misfortune to sit next to her again then I have the perfect response to her distinctly anti - social behaviour.
