Not your typical Hong Kong Biker
I have about 6,800 images of Hong Kong on my flickr site and for reasons I cannot fathom this is my most popular picture with 572 views (and yes I am aware that 572 views is pathetic in the overall scheme of things)
I like the picture mainly because of his "outfit" which I was not aware of until I looked at the image on my monitor.. having a rubbish bike does nothing for his street credibility.
So there you go.
Just nasty
Before dusk the ferry is actually pink (and I have done a little bit of image manipulation to make the colour less offensive) ... the boat is actually a reminder of how cars would get from Hong Kong Island to Kowloon prior to 1972, it is one of our old car ferries.
Just nasty just about sums up what is on store for you if you do the harbour tour on this thing... the only one worth doing is the Aqua Luna.
Our PTU coppers
These are our "hard" coppers, specially trained and such (Police Tactical Unit officers) who can be seen wandering our streets pulling people over in a not so random stop and search procedure.
... and she is in charge! and yes, she has really short hair. I am probably the only one that thinks that the copper on the left is the spitting image of a younger version of our Chief Executive.
The number plate is probably more expensive than the car
The car of choice for our gazillionaires is normally the Rolls Royce Phantom so it is nice to see every now and then a Maybach which is always good for making a statement to the average guy on the street.
The Newton Hotel in Fortress Hill
Not noted as one of our finer hotels but it certainly makes for an interesting image.
Riding the trams
Whilst I think doing the entire West - East route (110 stops) is a tad excessive, hopping on one for 15 minutes is a great idea for seeing daily life in Hong Kong.
