It can be pretty hard getting access to our Fire Fighting ships, generally you have to wait for an "open day" which may or may not happen yearly... rather than do that I walked along to the berth of the Excellence Fire Boat.
The boat is berthed at Tsing Yi (but a 30 minute walk from the train station is in order)
Tsing Yi is between Kwai Chung and Tsuen Wan in the New Territories and is actually an island, it's proximity to the Kwai Chung Container Port is the reason the fire boat is stationed here.
As you can see you can get reasonably close, I tried to attract the attention of a couple of people in the station, they simply ignored me, I imagine they thought me as some sort of raving nutter... anyway I got some fairly decent shots.
So, another fanboy moment ticked off.
The golden arches of McDonald's - at last count we have 236 of them and many are 24/7 - simply incredible. This one is at the Gold Coast in Tuen Mun.
Our coppers have the power's of stop and search and I often wonder about the criteria they use although in this case I knew, the chap they stopped looked decidedly shifty.
We do love our waterfront promenades here and this one in Tsing Yi is amazingly popular, jogging is quite the thing these days.
... but I do draw the line at joining the spandex nutter brigade
